The grips are big, and they're 'grippy' and they look good, bordering on great. (That said, they don't match my Brooks saddle, even though they are the same color. The saddle is darker than the grips.)My only gripe about these grips was the installation. Both the inside and outside rings were too tight for my handlebars. I spent the better part of half an hour trying to force them on with no luck. I tried tightening and loosening the nipples and that didn't seem to have any effect either. In the end, I was only able to get them on when I used a flat head screwdriver as a wedge to force the metal ends to open wider. If you're having the same problem, don't hesitate to jam that screw driver in the gap of the metal ends, it won't do any damage. In fact, one of them was so tight that I had to use two different sized screwdrivers, successively, to open the ring enough. In the end, I got them on, but it took a few hours sweat and swearing. Also, I'll confirm what others have said about the rings slipping a little when you grip tightly. It's only a slight shift, but it's noticeable. I don't think it's enough to create a real problem, it's just irritating to have paid so much for grips that don't function flawlessly. (Perhaps if I tightened the nipples more that would stop the shifting, but I've read to many horror stories.)
